Artist

Meri is a singer and multi-instrumentalist comfortable with any genre of music. Meri has performed with Soul Fire (Contra Dance band) at the Seattle Folk Fest and with One-Eyed George and Blind-toothed Meri (Folk and Original Jazz) at various venues in Montana, Mmm Mmm Good (Blues, Covers Folk and Originals) at farmers markets, private parties and fundraisers.

Presently Meri performs with:

  • Driving South (Original, Old-time, Jazz and Blues) performing at private events, small concert venues and fundraisers
  • Passiflora (Orginals, Celtic, Jazz, Ancient Music) a duet with Harp (Elizabeth Bogdanovich) and ukulele and singing (Meri) at the Capital, Crocker Arts, 2nd Friday Art About and various events.
  • Anthology Changing (Classical, Orginals and Celtic) a harp and North American Flute Duo. Cd is Compassionate Companionship produced by Mercy General Hospital at Foxtail Sound. Private venues.
  • Hylysnan (Meri’s solo work) and has performed at the Whole Earth Festival, Great Smoky Montain’s Heritage Center in Tennessee, in Atlanta, Georgia at the Unitarian Church with R.C. Nakai, Randy McGinnis and the Flying Mystics.


    • Beyond the Bands:

    Meri is the Musical Director and Composer for the Sonya Brodt’s Dance Company Ecokinesis. During an Ecokinesis performance Meri can be heard playing Native American Flute, percussion and oddly interesting instruments. Ecokinesis has preformed Northern California region from Sacramento to Mt. Shasta. Ecokinesis collaborated with Crane Theater and wrote, composed and choreographed the show Journey. The production of Journey was sponsored by the Sierra Club, Defenders of Wildlife, Crane Theater and the Endangered Species Coalition. Journey show cased the innovation of Meri’s compositions.


    Most recent performance for Ecokinesis was in the fall of 2018 for Unseen: Art Hike hosted by the Nevada Museum of Art and Trails and Vistas for the Anne Brigman: A Visionary in Modern Photography art show brought to life through music and movement.


    Presently, Meri is one of the musicians composing music for the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre 2019 ART in 4 Dimensions.
